We take your
legacy seriously

Many people don't prepare for their future due to a mere lack of knowledge. Many people don't know what is required or where to begin. In most cases, upon death, their family is stricken with the harsh reality that their departed loved one left none of their assets or financial affairs in place, and they unwillingly find themselves in probate court.

While in law school, James A. Noel realized his passion for helping others and took great pride in his work. Assisting and educating his clients on how to secure their wealth and create a legacy is a top priority for James. Being fully aware of the gap in basic knowledge of estate planning amongst the general population, James knew he had found his calling and vowed to make a difference, one estate at a time. He has a knack for garnering trust amongst his clients, getting the job done, and taking great care of you and your estate.

James is an experienced estate planning attorney. Born in Cap-Haitien, Haiti, at the age of 7 James emigrated with his family to the United States, specifically New York City. Growing up in a new country, and learning a new language and culture taught James to embrace and overcome challenges.

His parents showed him the definition of hard work and dedication. His father gave up his teaching career when he left Haiti, and to see him graduate college and step back into his passion for teaching was inspiring. Inspired by the achievements of his personal hero, Thurgood Marshall, and motivated by his father’s journey, James successfully pursued his childhood dream of being in the military and becoming an attorney. He graduated from Fordham University School of Law and joined the Marine Corps.

James started his estate planning career in 1998 as a Marine Lieutenant. He worked in various countries, before transitioning to the Marine Corps Reserves, at which point he utilized his legal skills in a new career as a United States Diplomat. After retiring from the foreign service and the Marine Corps, James was ready for a new challenge and returned to the practice that started his career, Estate Planning.

Throughout James’ career, he has successfully addressed client needs, whether planning wealth succession or negotiating international contracts with foreign governments.

James resides in Prince William County, where he runs his private practice.
